next-auth.session-token and next-auth.csrf-token) so you can sign in and stay signed in securely. We do not use analytics, advertising, marketing or tracking cookies, and there is no cookie consent banner because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to. This policy covers mobcater.com, mobcater.co.uk and the MobCater app (iOS, Android and PWA).1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. MobCater uses them only to:
- keep you signed in to your account
- protect your session against cross-site request forgery
We do not use cookies to profile you, to measure your behaviour, or to serve advertising.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
Used for:
- login and authentication
- account/session management (next-auth.session-token)
- security (next-auth.csrf-token)
- PWA offline caching
These are first-party, strictly necessary cookies and do not require consent. They are the only cookies MobCater sets.
2.2 Analytics, Advertising and Marketing Cookies — None Used
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing cookies or any other tracking technology. MobCater does not run a third-party analytics or advertising service, does not measure ad performance, and does not build advertising or behavioural profiles from your use of the app.
Because no non-essential cookies are set, there is no cookie consent banner and nothing for you to opt in or out of.
2.3 Preferences
Any settings you choose in the app (such as saved calculator inputs) are stored locally on your own device, not in cookies, and are never shared with third parties. Clearing your browser or app storage removes them.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not allow third parties to set analytics, advertising or marketing cookies through MobCater. The only third-party cookies you may encounter are strictly operational:
- Stripe — payment processing and payment fraud prevention, only on the secure checkout pages you are taken to when you buy a subscription on the web or Android.
- Security — cookies used by our hosting provider to keep the service available and protect against abuse.
Purchases made inside the iOS app are handled by Apple's In-App Purchase system, which does not use cookies in the app.
We also use service providers who process data for us but do not set cookies in the app: our hosting provider, our email provider, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for file storage.
We are not responsible for third-party cookie policies.
4. Managing Cookies
There is no consent to give or withdraw, because we set only strictly necessary cookies. You remain in full control through your browser settings, where you can:
- block cookies
- delete cookies
- allow only specific cookies
Blocking or deleting these cookies will sign you out and prevent you from logging in.
5. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect:
- legal changes
- changes to the cookies we set
- changes to the service providers we use
If updated, the "Last Updated" date will change.
